Dallas Plans To Go Green- At A Cost
The Dallas Morning News reports that the city is planning to pay a premium of $750,000 next year to increase the percentage of the city's energy which comes from alternative or renewable sources, from the current level of 40% (which is the second highest of any city in the US, after Houston). While such increased environmental awareness is of course commendable, the denizens of Dallas may be asking themselves if such an expense is really justified in view of the precarious financial situation of the city...
